The Elgin Hispanic Network (EHN) Scholarship Program aims to support Hispanic high school students in their pursuit of an undergraduate college education or trade school curriculum. EHN grants up to three $1,500 scholarships to full-time high school students of Hispanic heritage. Decisions on awards are determined by the EHN Board of Directors, relying on recommendations from the EHN Scholarship Committee which is composed of community volunteers.
EHN awards are determined by evaluating:
Academic performance
Extracurricular activities
Financial need
Community involvement within and on behalf of the Hispanic community
Consideration of bilingualism and biculturalism
Description of career goals

High school transcript, encompassing:
Standardized college entrance exam test scores (SAT or ACT)
Resumé (not exceeding 2 pages) detailing:
A) Extracurricular activities
B) Volunteer community service experience
C) Required school community service experience
D) Leadership, awards, honors
E) Work experience
Electronic copy of the acceptance letter to the university/college
Two letters of recommendation. Applicants will receive the letters of recommendation, and hold sole responsibility to ensure these letters have been uploaded onto the online application portal.
