The Elgin Hispanic Network (EHN) Scholarship Program aims to support Hispanic high school students in their pursuit of an undergraduate college education or trade school curriculum. EHN grants up to three $1,500 scholarships to full-time high school students of Hispanic heritage. Decisions on awards are determined by the EHN Board of Directors, relying on recommendations from the EHN Scholarship Committee which is composed of community volunteers.

EHN awards are determined by evaluating:

  • Academic performance

  • Extracurricular activities

  • Financial need

  • Community involvement within and on behalf of the Hispanic community

  • Consideration of bilingualism and biculturalism
