Elgin Hispanic Network (EHN) is pleased to announce the open period of its annual scholarship application for 2016. Three $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to local senior high school students of Hispanic descent residing in the city of Elgin.  Since 1992, EHN has been instrumental in providing over $50,000 to scholarship funds to senior high school students’ pursuing advancement of their educational goals of an undergraduate college or trade school curriculum.  Among other criteria, awards are based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, financial need, community involvement, demonstration of bilingualism and biculturalism and involvement within, and on behalf of, the Hispanic community. This year’s application is a fillable PDF form with cloud-based capability upload.  Application and instructions now available for download. Deadline to submit completed application is Friday, March 25, 2016, no exceptions. 
Welcome to the Elgin Hispanic Network!

We meet every 4th Wednesday for lunch to exchange ideas, information and resources in order to have a positive impact on the Hispanic community. We are made up of businesses, social service agencies, non-profit and community-based organizations. Our meetings are conducted primarily in English and everyone, regardless of ethnicity, is welcomed!
